We welcome you here in Nepal Engineers' Association - Japan Chapter (NEA-JC). Please contact us for (1) taking a new membership of the Nepal Engineers' Association (NEA) if you haven't already taken one, (2) renewing your already held membership if it's not up to date, (3) upgrading your membership to a "Life Member" if you have been a general member for several years.
A . New General Membership
A Nepali engineer willing to obtain the NEA membership requires the following documents.

Note: The fees may change according to the fee structure of NEA.
Please pay the application fees by transfering money to the account mentioned below and post the required documents to the address provided below.
At the end of each month, all the documents received from applicants will be checked and sent to the head office (NEA-HO) in Nepal for the membership approval. Upon approval, the NEA-HO issues membership cards and sends them to our office. Once we receive the cards, we notify the applicants by email and post the membership cards.
B. Renewal of Membership
If you are already an NEA member, but have not renewed the membership up to date, please contact us to renew it. The annual membership renewable fee is NRs. 200 or Japanese Yen 400 (including postal charge) as per the NEA’s guidelines. For an example, if your membership was valid up to 2005 and you like to renew it up to 2008, please pay 400x3 = 1200 Yen. To pay the fee, please transfer required amount of money to the account mentioned below.
What documents are required for membership renewal?
No any application form is required. After you transfer money, please just send an email to the membership management committee (address provided below) mentioning about the following information.
1. Your name, address (including phone and email)
2. You NEA membership number, previous validity period
3. Your intended renewal period
4. Amount of fee transferred in Japanese Yen.
All renewable requests will be sent to NEA-HO, Nepal. After getting an approval notification from the NEA-HO, we will pass it to the applicants.
C. Life Membership
As per NEA regulations, any general member who have been a general member for more than 5 years, can apply for the life membership. But all the past dues must be cleared. The Membership Management Committee requests and encourages the eligible applicants for the life membership, provided they have been issued NEA membership 5 years ago (please check your NEA ID or visit NEA-website for your issue date).
The life membership fee is NRs. 2000 or Japanese Yen 4000.
What documents are required for life membership?
To become a life member, you have to submit all the documents (application form, copies of academic transcripts and certificates, photos) again as in a new general membership application. In the application form, please write membership type as "Life".
As mentioned above, your life membership application requires that your general membership is renewed up to date. So, if your membership requires renewal, please proceed with renewal and life membership application simultaneously. Please pay the application fee by transfering money to the account mentioned below and post the required documents to the address provided below.
Be a life member once and remain as a member for life. No need to renew again and again.
